![]() Pastor Jim Turner Jim Turner was saved during the turbulent 70s. His lifestyle was of the “hippy generation” of that decade. It was the dawning of the “me” philosophy where self pleasure and sin was the order of the day. There was truly “no satisfaction” to be found from the world and its pursuits. God made real Jim’s sin and emptiness to his heart and he began to search for answers in the Bible. Over the course of several months God graciously revealed to him how much Jesus Christ was willing to sacrifice to provide for his salvation and in December of 1974 Jim Turner was overwhelmed with God’s love for sinners and was saved. The call to Christian service was almost immediate. In January 1975 Jim entered the local church preacher’s school of First Baptist Church of Howland, Ohio. There in Howland the Turners were involved in many ministries. They started out working in the bus ministry, Then as Sunday School teachers for children and eventually was the adult Sunday School teacher. In March of 1990 Brother Turner took the pastorate of Shadyside Baptist Church in Worthington, Pennsylvania where he served almost ten years. Pastor Turner also served as Pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Bowie, Texas nearly five years before coming to Wichita Falls and Victory Baptist Church in July of 2007. Pastor Turner’s prayer and burden is that He, along with the dear folk at Victory Baptist Church there can be a tremendous impact made upon North Texas for the glory of Jesus Christ and the sake of lost souls. WE HAVE ORDAINED OUR ASSISTANT PASTOR ALLEN LITTLE AND HE HAS BECOME THE PASTOR OF BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH OF ELECTRA, TEXAS. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE LITTLE FAMILY AS THEY ENTER INTO THIS NEW AREA OF MINISTRY
